You Are Essential

After receiving many DC inquiries at the MCS central office, our MCS Lobbyist, Steve Panagiotakos, contacted the Massachusetts Governor’s Office for direction about the status of the chiropractic office during the Covid-19 crisis. He was told by office staff that DCs may continue to keep their offices open and continue to deliver our services as before, practicing the universal cautions we, MCS, have communicated online already = clean hands, clean furniture, social distancing, etc., etc.

There is no question where a “chiropractor” is under essential services, the Physician is the example used from most states, this is the law, find the law in your state, it is listed!  Chiropractors keep patients out of the emergency rooms, and are a primary care physician.

The words ”physician” and ”dentist” shall not include any person who is not licensed to practice as such under the laws of the jurisdiction within which such services were rendered, but shall include chiropodists, chiropractors, optometrists, osteopaths, physical therapists, podiatrists, psychologists and other medical personnel licensed to practice under the laws of the jurisdiction within which such services were rendered. We’ll keep you informed ASAP as we receive updates from any source. We’re still here in office getting the job done, so you can be in your offices getting your jobs done.

If you are not receiving emails from your state chiro society please call the office to update your contact information or send an email to the address below. Share with your colleagues that are not connected at this time.
